Once

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 June 2026

Once is built around a simple promise: nothing about you leaves your phone.

What we collect

Nothing. There is no account, no sign-up, no login.

What we store on your device

To make the app work, Once keeps a small amount of state in your phone's local storage:

This data never leaves your device. We can't see it. No one can.

Network

Once does not make network requests at runtime. The full library of affirmations is bundled into the app at build time. There is no server to call.

Analytics and tracking

There are none. No analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no advertising identifier, no tracking pixels, no third-party telemetry.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Once schedules a single daily local notification on your device at the time you chose. The notification is generated by your phone — not sent from a server — and contains a generic prompt ("Tap to see today's affirmation"). The affirmation text itself is never put in the notification.

You can revoke notification permission at any time in your phone's Settings.

Purchases

Once is a one-time purchase processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). Once never sees your payment details. Apple and Google handle billing under their own privacy policies.

Children

Once is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no data, there is nothing to disclose under children's privacy laws.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will appear at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
